STRIPES Position on the Absence of a nurse at Matches

All coaching staff members at STRIPES recently completed First Aid training in cooperation with the Cyprus Football Association. This training became necessary due to the CFA’s new decision, according to which there will no longer be a nurse present at academy matches, and coaches are now expected to assume the role of first response in any incident.

Although STRIPES fully complied with the requirements and invested in the education of its staff, our position remains clear: We disagree with this decision.

The presence of a nurse or specialized medical professional at children’s matches is not a luxury but a necessity. The safety of our players is and will always be our absolute priority, and we will continue to advocate for the best possible conditions for all our young athletes.
