The past week was a busy one for STRIPES Football Academy, with five of our teams taking part in tournaments and gaining valuable competitive experience.

At the PROFESSIONAL Academy Tournament, our 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019 teams had a very good presence throughout the competition. All our teams showed commitment, teamwork and a positive attitude, putting into practice what they have been working on during training.

A special mention goes to our 2016 Eagles, who reached the final of the tournament. The final will take place on 1 October and will be broadcast live on ALPHA, giving our young athletes the opportunity to experience an even bigger football occasion.

At the same time, our 2015 Lions participated in the APOM Mathiatis Tournament, where they had their first experience playing 9-a-side football. It was an important new step for the team, combining a different format of the game with valuable competitive experience. The team completed the tournament in 2nd place.

Another week full of football, experiences and opportunities to grow — both on and off the pitch.
